The Toy Factory |
The toy fairies have built a magical factory where a Wizard can develop amazing new toys. To help create some very different toys, four kids, with incredible imagination, are transported to the factory where they use their dreams to help the Wizard and his fantastic factory make these toys. |
High in the mountains of a magical land stands a factory unlike any other. This factory hums with music, whirs with wonder, and sparkles with the shimmer of dreams. This is the home of Wizard Tinkerbit. He was not always a Wizard, and he didn't always live in this factory, which was built for him many years ago. Originally, he was just an ordinary man, Mr. Tiberius Tinkerbit. He was always fascinated by toys and how they were made. As a child, he loved pulling apart broken clocks and remaking them into music boxes. He was fascinated by flying objects and once built a kite that could sing lullabies to the clouds in the sky. His imagination was limitless. One day he stumbled upon a forgotten book titled "The Mechanics of Magic". Inside were blueprints, not for spells, but for machines that were powered by dreams, music, and laughter. Guided by this wondrous book, and by trial and error, he taught himself to blend magic and invention to create very unusual toys. Tinkering in his workshop, he built such things as a ballerina's shoe that never stopped spinning and a laugh that could be trapped in a bottle to be activated by slightly lifting the cover.
You may not know this, but there are toy fairies that oversee all the toys in the world and watch as kids play with them. They were aware of Mr. Tinkerbit's dabbling with magical toys and decided that he would be perfect to help them create whole new types of toys. So, one day, they visited him and explained what they were thinking. They offered to give him new magical powers, far greater than what was in the book he discovered and build him a factory where he could put these new magical powers to work. So, Mr. Tinkerbit became Wizard Tinkerbit, and he moved into his new fairy-built factory.
Even though he now had the means to create imaginative new toys by himself, Tinkerbit realized that his magic could become even more powerful if the laughter of kids, their playful imagination, and their pure joy in just playing were added to his magic. So, he created a whole fleet of thousands of "Wonder Whisps". These unseen magical sensors floated through the skies, drifting across towns and cities like specks of dust quietly observing children at play, not to spy, but to sense sparks of imagination and moments of creative problem solving. Each time a child built something out of scraps, helped a friend invent a new game, or imagined a world all their own, the Wonder Whisp observing it would glow brighter. When a Whist lit up like a bright sun, Tinkerbit took notice and recalled it to the factory. When several of them had returned glowing with the discovery of an especially imaginative child, Tinkerbit had them buzzed through a special machine, "The Invitation Printer", whose churning gears and enchanted circuits printed out a golden scroll, each addressed in swirling ink to summon this child to the most magical place in the World, THE TOY FACTORY OF WIZARD TINKERBIT. And so it was that a golden invitation was sent to four of the most creative kids the Whisps had ever come across. They were Maya, Liam, Tariq, and Sasha.........
