The Age of Unicorns & Dragons

Myths tell stories about things that happened in the dark mysterious past. Back before history was written, the world was full of strange and magical creatures that lived alongside us humans. Long after these creatures disappeared from Earth, tales about them were told over campfires and passed from generation to generation. But spoken tales are tricky things, over time they change and change again and as the centuries pass. We really can’t tell if these tales really happened the way they are told or not. Such is the case with two mystical creatures spoken about in these ancient tales. The first are tales of Dragons who are described as fierce, scaly, fire breathing, winged, reptilian creatures usually associated with danger and evil. The second are tales of Unicorns who are portrayed as the opposite of Dragons. They are spoken of as gentle, glowing white, wing beings with a single magical horn protruding from their forehead who are often associated with peace, innocence, and magic.

Recently a clay tablet with strange characters scratched into it was found buried in an ancient desert city. It took many years to understand the meaning of these characters, but, when the tablet was finally deciphered, it was found to be written by a scribe named 'Zora' and it was dated to a time when us humans appeared on a very young earth. Zora's tablet speaks of Dragons and Unicorns, but also talks about two other creatures, a Dracorn and a Unigon. This story perhaps suggests that the myths we hear today missed a very important part of what really happened when Dragons and Unicorns roamed the earth. This is the story written on Zora’s tablet.

Eons ago, when earth was very young, it was not unusual for it to be visited by beings from star systems throughout the galaxy. Dragons were one of these beings. They came from a planet in the Andromeda star system and formed a colony high in the forested slopes of Mount Fyra. Among these Dragon space travelers were a brother and sister, 'Ignatius and Celestia'. The Dragons drew warmth from the sun and, with their finery breath, were able to breathe warmth into the cold earth, melting snow and ice. Another of these space visitors were Unicorns. They had traveled from a planet in the star system of Aquarius. They inhabited a colony in a grassy glade not far from Mount Fyra. Among the Unicorns, there was another brother/sister pair named ‘Lumina and Orion’. With their silver horns pointed to the sky, the Unicorns were able to draw rain from the clouds that nourished the dry earth making rivers flow and plants grow........
