Tully Tugboat

Harborville was a major seaport with ships of all sizes from all over the world coming and going. Like most other ports, tugboats were needed to safely guide and tow ships, especially the very large ones, from the open ocean waters into their piers and anchorages and out again into the wide seas where they were free to travel on their own. The tugboats were operated by several companies, one of which was Tugaway Corp. It was run by Mr. Avery, a tough old seaman who had crewed many different types of ships. He was very experienced in tugboat operations in support of all these various ocean going vessels.

However, besides Tugaway, there were other tugboat companies in competition with it. Tugaway's boats were getting older and the newer boats used by these other companies, with better technology and more powerful engines, were causing Tugaway to lose business. To ensure his company was able to keep up with these competitors, Mr. Avery decided he was going to have to invest in a new fleet of tugboats. He contacted a boatbuilder to discuss constructing the first of these new advanced boats, this new boat would be named "TULLY". When Mr. Avery sat down with the boatbuilder, he explained that he wanted the biggest, most powerful tugboat that was ever built, and he wanted it to be equipped with the most modern technology. Tully was to be the jewel of Tugaway's new fleet and the most advanced boat in all of Harborville.

The boatbuilder was impressed with Mr. Avery's vision and excited about the chance to build such a boat. He told Mr. Avery to return in a few weeks and he would have some sketches, a preliminary design, and a price for this new marvelous boat........
