Tracy was a very adventurous young girl. She often dreamed of traveling across wide-open spaces, always wondering what was just beyond the next rise. She read many books describing all the fascinating places she could visit. One day, she decided that it was time to start her own journey, but how would she travel, she had no means of transportation. She thought and thought and thought about this. She could walk, but walking was slow and very tiring. She couldn't get very far or carry very much with her if she went by foot. She could go by horse, this was a little better than walking, but it had some of the same limitations - distance she could cover and amount of stuff she could carry with her. She could go by train, but this would limit her to places where there were train tracks. Going by boat was another option, but then she would be limited only to places near the sea. She could go by plane, but then she would miss all the places the plane flew over. Finally, she thought, she could go by car. Car travel also had some limitations in that it would be difficult to cross large bodies of water or not be able to go where there were no roads, but, she thought, this was her best option. But Tracey had one big problem - she didn't have a car. On the internet, she started to review advertisements for all different types of cars. She liked what she saw, but she couldn't afford any of these cars. One day as she was surfing the net, she came across a mysterious advertisement. It read
"Looking for an adventurous person to test drive an experimental car for one year. No cost and as payment for your work, at the end of test period you can keep the car. If interested text I'm available to XCAR."
When Tracey saw this, she got very excited. This is perfect she thought and texted the requested "I'm available". For several weeks she heard nothing. Then, just as she was giving up hope, she got a reply.
"If still interested in our XCAR offer, come to the warehouse at 14 Super Car Drive at noon on Saturday, text 'yes' to accept, 'no' to decline. Our offer stays open for the next 5 hours." .......
